One Size Fits Most?

Am I now most?

Am I now most?

The brain is a funny thing.  Sometimes it takes your brain a while to catch up with your present-tense body.  Sometimes, I automatically find myself making decisions with my ‘fat‘ brain, instead of my ‘I’m now a normal weight‘ brain.  Case in point, most of my life, whenever I saw clothing , costumes or whatever, if they were labeled ‘One Size Fits Most‘ … I automatically dismissed them.  I knew instantly that I was not within the definition of ‘most‘. I was morbidly obese.  Or just obese.

Fast forward to 2015, leggings are the rage.  I’m not entirely sure why, but I’m not exactly a fashion diva either.  Today I saw a sale for two pairs of Leggings for $10. Honestly, I’ve seen it often, but today was the first time I stopped instead of walking on past. What a great deal, super cheap.  I won’t need these for anything fancy, more like exercising in my living room.  I have seen these things advertised and for sale for quite some time.  I have to pass their display on my way to the pharmacy.

Somehow, today – perhaps out of frustration – something dawned on me.  I am probably now defined as ‘most‘. Surely it is worth a ten dollar investment to find out.  All of my yoga pants and most of my workout gear is now too big, and that crap is expensive.  I just need something simple to wear while I bend, stretch and sweat. No leopard prints required.  Not that I’m opposed to them.

Guess what?  They fit.  These things are a completely perfect fit.  They are comfortable.  I feel naked.  Is this the point?  Is this why they are all the rage?  Lord knows I have no clue. Meanwhile, I am also wondering why there are red high heels on the package??!!

As always, make champion choices,

I loved this article 😀 I felt the same way about leggings until I gave in and bought a pair and fell in love haha

  2. It took me a while to stop thinking with my fat brain, too. Now that I’ve gained some of the weight back, I’m still largely stuck in my “thin” brain when it comes to clothing, which presents problems of it’s own. 😦

At any rate, I think they are so popular because you can wear them with a dress and not have to worry about veins, tans, or shaving legs. They’re basically a replacement for hose, which I am still anxiously awaiting to come back in style as they matched everything and hid a multitude of sins.
