Where do yo want to go ?
Something I say all of the time to people who ask for my help is this: If nothing changes, nothing changes. Then I ask this question: If you keep doing what you are currently doing, where will you go? IF you are honest with yourself and ask yourself that same question … do you like the answer? I am a huge fan of honesty ~ especially being honest with yourself.
So let me ask you this … if you could take your life in any direction you want, right now, where would you go? I am not really talking about an exotic destination here, but more of a stepping stone or milestone in your life. Because you do realize there is no stopping point or actual destination, right? Every time you reach a goal, set another. Every time you get to a fabulous place … keep going.
I have basically maintained my weight for over a year now. The doctor thinks I should lose about 15 more pounds. Honestly, I am not remotely focused on weight loss right now. I inadvertently lost five pounds this past week. I’m not entirely sure why and I don’t really care. SO what DO I care about?
I care about strength, mobility, flexibility, stamina, endurance and reaching new heights. I care about hiking new trails and seeing new summits. I also care about maintaining my hard earned weight loss. I’m not going to lie … maintenance is tricky. Everybody thinks all of the hard work is in losing weight, and then once you’re done, you’re golden. Ha, NOT! It’s a lifestyle. Which is why when I set out to do this … I was adamant that I was not going to do tricks or gimmicks or fad diets that would result in temporary loss, only to re-gain. I have focused on habits that would never stop, be lifelong. I encourage you to do the same.
So where do you want to go? How will you get there? What needs to change for this to happen? Most importantly, when will you begin?

Don’t look back – you’re not going that way.
As always, make champion choices,
The Healthy Habit Lady
Thanks for sharing! I don’t always get to read all your blogs or posts but whenever I do it always seems to be at the right time and always something meaningful. Thank you for putting yourself out there as often as you do.

Ooooh! Good one! I think that as you keep posting, you will get more followers. Put it on SparkPeople, too. Put links everywhere you network. Your stuff is good. And remember: There are a lot of people reading this who do NOT comment!
