So I ran across this interesting post from a blog I love to follow (The Art of Manliness). No, I’m not a man, but his stuff is great, on point and universally applicable in most cases. He also has a lot of guest contributors. I would love your opinions … weigh in … do you prefer group exercise or going it alone? Hmmmm, or maybe just one on one with a buddy ? Do you believe in an accountability partner? Do tell.

This is a slideshow of various fitness pictures … me, my family, friends …
throughout the past couple of years, maybe 3 years or so. I’ve lost track.
It just shows a wide variety of activities I have done, alone and/or with people.

As for me, my personal favorite is exercising (or just fun fitness) with my family. My family fitness regime definitely includes my kids. Just check out the slideshow above to see some examples. That is not always possible, of course. I love group exercise classes too. I especially Body Pump and sometimes Yoga. I would love to have a buddy or accountability partner, but I fear I do not really have one of those at the present moment. Presently accepting applications for such, tee hee.
I will say; however, I do not mind exercising alone, at all. Sometimes it can even be quite therapeutic. I know a lady, in one of my fitness groups (and she’s a friend) – who does what she calls ‘angry running’. She is going through a divorce, and when she gets irritated or frustrated, she uses that to push her and power her on the pavement or the dreadmill. She calls the treadmill Satan’s Sidewalk which I find hilarious.
Basically, I like variety. I do not think I would do well if I only exercised alone, at home. I need interaction. I need people. Not everyone is wired that way though, and that is okay. The main thing is to figure out what works for YOU, and then … ya know … DO IT. So let me hear from you. I love to hear your thoughts.
As always, make champion choices,
